Tips:

  • When buying, look for chard bunches with dark green leaves, bright stems (white or colourful) and no blemishes, wilting or browning.

  • Chard stems are perfectly edible but might require a longer cooking time than the leaf, so chop them up and cook them for a few minutes before adding the leaves.
