Tips:

  • The greens of the turnip are often tossed, but they are perfectly edible and delicious!

  • When buying turnips, look for leaves that are bright green and fresh.

  • To prepare Turnip greens, remove the central stalk with a paring knife or with your hands and give them a thorough wash. Chop into the desired size.

  • You can replace Turnip greens in any recipe that calls for “Collard Greens” or “Southern Greens.” just note that turnip greens are slightly sweeter and will cook more quickly
