Collard Greens BANNER.png

In Season:

January · February · March · October · November · December

Carbon Footprint (CO2e/kg):

0.24 kg

Tips:

  • Collard greens can be hard to find in the UK, so you can substitute them with Spring Greens or Kale.

  • To avoid tough stalks, remove the stem from each leaf with a knife or by tearing the leaves.

  • Once clean, lay the leaves on top of each other, roll them together tightly and cut the Collard green into thin strips.

  • Food waste tip: Save the stalks and use them in a stew or soup - the longer cooking time will break down the tough fibres.
